Setup
- Kazinga is a social game for 2 to 6 players, played as either a single round or as a tournament of rounds.
- On a table or flat playing area, pass out Kazinga Koins to each player as shown.
- Shuffle the Wildcard deck well and then deal 3 cards face down to each player (optional).
- Return any extra Kazinga Koins and Wildcards to the game case.
- Place the dice in the center of the playing area.
- The center of the playing area (i.e. stash) should have no Koins at the start of play.
The Kazinga Dice

-

-
In this example, the player must give a total of 3 Koins of any combination of colors to any other player or players.
Kazinga Wildcards
The Kazinga Zinger Wildcard
Trade all Koins - one color for another color of your choice - with one other player. Any remaining unresolved Wildcards from the turn are returned to the deck and are not played.
How To Play
Playing the Round
- The object of Kazinga is to either collect or shed all the Koins of a color (or colors) depending upon the GameStyle being played.
- The youngest player starts the first game by rolling the pair of dice and following the instructions shown on the dice.
- The Number Die indicates the number of Kazinga Koins to move.
- The Directional Die provides the actions for the roll. These actions are either pass left/right, give to another player(s), take from another player(s), or give/take from the center stash
- Players may divide moves into a combination of different players and/or Koin colors as instructed on the dice.
- Play then moves clockwise to the left.
Wildcard Play
- Wildcards may be played once all players have had at least one roll of the dice.
- You may not play a Wildcard right after your own turn rolling the dice except when just two players are participating.
Wildcard Play Continued
- To play a Wildcard, shout "Kazinga!" before the next roll of the dice is released and immediately place your card face down on the playing surface.
- The player who just rolled the dice must first resolve his/her roll before Wildcards are revealed.
- If more than one player lays a Wildcard on a turn, each Wildcard is turned up, read aloud, and resolved one-by-one, in the order it was played, until there are no more Wildcards left to show and resolve.
- If two or more Wildcards are played in a 'tie', then they are resolved in clockwise order starting to the left of the player who just rolled the dice.
How to Win the Round
- For Kazinga beginners, learn to play "Just-the-Basics" GameStyle first
- In "Just-the-Basics", a player wins by simply collecting all of the Koins of a single color.
- The first player to possess all Koins of one color wins instantly and the round stops.
- Wildcards cannot be played after any player has already won a round.
- i.e. A player cannot "steal" a win from someone else by using any wildcard.
Starting a New Round
- Collect all of the Wildcards & shuffle the deck.
- Redistribute the Kazinga Koins and Wildcards as instructed in the setup section (page 2).
- The winner of a round may pick a new game style.
- The player to the left of the starting player from the previous round gets to roll the dice first.
Scoring - Tournament Mode
- After each round, players count all the Koins in their possession.
- Scores are determined based on the GameStyle.
- i.e. The winning player in Just the Basics should have 12 Koins/points (or 10 Koins/points in a 5 player game).
- The winning player for each round is also awarded a 3-point bonus.
- Be sure to record all players' scores for each round.
Winning a Kazinga Tournament
- A player who scores 45 or more points wins!
- In the event of 2 or more players scoring a tie of 45 or more points, these players compete in one additional round of Kazinga with the winner of that round ultimately declared the overall winner.
Try a Different Game Style
There are lots of ways to play Kazinga! Start out by learning Just-the-Basics and then explore other GameStyles as players develop strategies and skills. Each style requires a different approach to outwitting your opponents and being the best Koin manager in the game!
Just the Basics
A player wins by collecting all the Koins of a single color. Secretly decide or change which color you want to collect at any time as play unfolds and you see where the Koins flow. More than one player may try to collect the same color, so the competition for Koins can get intense!
Pro-Mode
Before the start of play, announce to the other players the color of the Koins that you each want to collect. Each player should pick a different color. Play until someone has collected all the Koins of the color that he/she chose.
You're So Sneaky (Yet Honest)
Pro-Mode with a twist - Each player chooses a color before play begins, but don't let the other players know the Koin color you are trying to get. Play until someone has collected all the Koins of the color they chose.
A Perfect Game
Win by collecting all the Koins of a single color while possessing no other Koins.
Teamwork (Makes The Scheme Work)
In this GameStyle, players work together in teams to get all the Koins of two colors. This style is played by at least 3 players (i.e. 2 players vs 1 player, or teams of 2 or 3 players). Players on a team work together to collect all the Koins of two colors chosen before the start of play. The entire team wins when the team possesses all Koins of the chosen colors. Each team should pick different pairs of colors. In team tournament mode, each team scores the highest total number of Koins of two colors possessed by all members of the team. The first team to reach 72 points wins. Thus, at least 3 rounds must be played in order to win the team tournament.
Hot Potatoes
This GameStyle is meant to be played by 3-6 players. Instead of collecting certain colors of Koins, players each attempt to get rid of all Koins of any two colors before anyone else does. In Hot Potatoes, all players must have a chance to roll the dice at least once after the start of play before any player can win by getting rid of all the Koins of two colors. In tournament mode, count the remaining Koins. Each player subtracts the total of the two lowest numbers of Koins in his/her possession from their current tournament score. The winner subtracts nothing but gets a 3-point bonus.
The Dogpile
The Dogpile gamestyle is played with Koins of just 3 different colors divided evenly amongst players (i.e. leave any 3 colors out of play). All players, except one (i.e. oldest, youngest, dad, mom, or a random player), are allowed to pick 3 Wildcards before the start of play. The object player may select 1 Wildcard. All of the other players try to send Koins of a color chosen before the start of play to the object player. The other players win if they can pile up those Koins before the Dogpile player can get rid of them! The Dogpile GameStyle is not played in tournament mode.
